Central Asian University (CAU) announces the publication of a new research article by Prof. Sherzodbek Dadaboyev in Current Psychology — A Journal for Diverse Perspectives on Diverse Psychological Issues, a prestigious international journal published by Springer. The journal is indexed in SSCI and ranked Q1, reflecting its strong academic impact and global recognition.
The article, titled “From Inspiration to Justification: the Paradoxical Impact of Coworker Citizenship Behavior,” explores the complex and dual influence of coworker Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in the workplace. The study highlights how OCB can serve as a source of inspiration, encouraging positive employee actions through vicarious learning, while also unintentionally contributing to negative behaviors through vicarious moral licensing.
Based on robust two-wave survey data collected from full-time employees, the research provides empirical evidence supporting its theoretical framework and offers a deeper understanding of how employee behavior can be shaped by observing colleagues’ actions.
This publication contributes to the growing body of literature in organizational behavior and psychology and provides practical insights into employee conduct and workplace dynamics in modern organizational environments.
