Central Asian University Hosts “Arch Girls” Architectural Exhibition Dedicated to International Women’s Day

Central Asian University hosted the “Arch Girls” Architectural Exhibition, a cultural event dedicated to International Women’s Day. The exhibition was organized by the School of Architecture and Design in collaboration with the Well-being Department.
The event brought together students, faculty members, and guests, creating a space for reflection on the role of women through art, installations, and creative expression.

Through artistic compositions and student projects, participants explored different dimensions of womanhood — strength and softness, the many roles women fulfill, and the emotions they experience.
The event opened with welcoming remarks by Dean Shukrullo Jakhongirov, who emphasized the importance of supporting student initiatives and creative projects.

He noted that thanks to the attention and support of the university leadership, events like this become an important part of campus life and contribute to the development of a vibrant academic and cultural environment.
As part of the “Arch Girls” exhibition, several artistic installations created by students were presented.

One installation featured a mannequin covered with multiple layers of clothing, symbolizing the many roles and responsibilities women take on in their daily lives.
Another installation used silk to represent flexibility, inner strength, and natural grace — reminding viewers that softness and resilience can coexist.
A composition made of colorful scarves symbolized diversity and the uniqueness of women’s stories.

Visitors also took part in an interactive installation — a white canvas where participants were invited to leave a brushstroke by choosing a color that reflected their mood, creating a collective artwork representing the emotional diversity of women’s experiences.

The exhibition also featured student posters sharing personal reflections and interpretations of womanhood.
Another section presented 3D house models created by female students, alongside photographs of prominent Uzbek women writers whose achievements continue to inspire new generations and highlight the important contribution of women to culture and society.
The “Arch Girls” Architectural Exhibition served as a reminder that March 8 is not only a celebration, but also a day of recognition, respect, and appreciation for the contributions of women to society.
