The charitable medical mission carried out by Central Asian University students in Muynak has received international recognition. QS, one of the world’s leading higher education organizations, has featured the initiative in QS Insights Magazine, a publication highlighting outstanding practices in higher education and social impact.
The article focuses on a medical outreach mission organized by Central Asian University students together with faculty members and healthcare professionals in Muynak, one of Uzbekistan’s regions most severely affected by the environmental consequences of the Aral Sea disaster.
During the mission, the team provided free medical screenings for children, adults, and pregnant women. In addition to medical consultations, participants conducted health education sessions on disease prevention, distributed hygiene supplies and other essential items, and collected water samples for further quality analysis.
The publication emphasizes the importance of such initiatives in improving access to healthcare in underserved communities.
