Advancing CAU’s International Academic Presence in Hospitality and Tourism.

Central Asian University’s School of Hospitality Management and Tourism continues to strengthen its international academic engagement through active participation in leading global research platforms. Most recently, Prof. Dr. Erdogan Ekiz and Prof. Dr. Orhan Uludag represented the university at the 15th Asia Tourism Forum 2026, held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The annual forum brought together distinguished academics, researchers, industry experts, and tourism professionals from across Asia to discuss the latest developments, emerging challenges, and future opportunities shaping the hospitality and tourism sector. The event served as an important platform for scholarly collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the presentation of innovative research addressing real-world industry issues.
During the conference, the CAU faculty members presented two research papers that explore key factors influencing contemporary tourism and hospitality management. Their first study examined the relationship between hotel design and guest satisfaction, highlighting how thoughtfully designed hospitality environments contribute to customer experiences, service quality, and overall satisfaction. The second research focused on destination branding, perceived quality, and tourist loyalty, investigating how a destination’s image and visitors’ perceptions influence long-term loyalty and travel intentions.
Both studies contribute valuable insights to the growing body of hospitality and tourism research while addressing topics that are highly relevant to today’s rapidly evolving global tourism industry.
Participation in international academic forums such as the Asia Tourism Forum reflects Central Asian University’s commitment to advancing research, fostering international collaboration, and contributing to discussions that shape the future of hospitality and tourism. It also provides CAU faculty with opportunities to exchange ideas with leading scholars, establish new academic partnerships, and bring global perspectives back into the classroom.
As CAU continues to expand its international presence, achievements like these reinforce the university’s dedication to academic excellence, impactful research, and the preparation of future hospitality professionals equipped to meet the demands of an increasingly interconnected world. Through the active involvement of its faculty in prestigious international conferences, CAU further strengthens its reputation as a growing center for research, innovation, and higher education in the region.
