Central Asian University and Roche Diagnostics Sign Strategic Agreement in Diagnostics and Medical Education

Rotkreuz, Switzerland / Tashkent, Uzbekistan

Central Asian University (CAU) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Roche Diagnostics, a global leader in laboratory diagnostics and biomedical solutions. The agreement marks the beginning of a long-term partnership focused on advancing diagnostic technologies and strengthening medical education in the region.
The official signing ceremony took place at Roche Diagnostics’ headquarters in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, where both parties discussed the integration of cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence and digital tools, into the academic and clinical infrastructure of CAU.

A key component of the partnership is the implementation of Navify — Roche’s digital health platform designed to structure clinical data, detect hidden risks, and offer personalized diagnostic insights, significantly improving healthcare decision-making and patient outcomes.
The agreement includes the following areas of cooperation:

  • Deployment of a fully automated laboratory at CAU;
  • Training and certification of laboratory personnel;
  • Technical and service support for diagnostic equipment;
  • Joint development and implementation of academic programs;
  • Exchange of research data and scientific publications;
  • Lectures and masterclasses for CAU medical students and residents;
  • Collaboration with AKFA Group’s specialized healthcare divisions.
This partnership lays a strong foundation for the modernization of diagnostic infrastructure and the expansion of academic and research capabilities at Central Asian University. CAU continues to develop a future-oriented academic ecosystem where students gain access to world-class technologies and international expertise.

“We believe this partnership with Roche Diagnostics will unlock new opportunities for our students and faculty — in both academic learning and real-world medical practice. It is a major step toward building a strong healthcare ecosystem in Central Asia,”

— said Kamran Gulamov, Rector of Central Asian University.
