Central Asian University (CAU) recently had the esteemed pleasure of welcoming distinguished guests from Bloomberg LP, London: Peter Johnston, Regional Manager; Jansaya Yedilkhan, Sales Manager; and Bulat Yussupov, Account Manager. The meeting was meticulously organized by Sherzodbek Safarov, the Head of Accounting and Finance at CAU. It was graced by the presence of Dr. Odiljon Abdurazzakov, the Dean of the Business School, and Professor Saidgozi Saydumarov, CFA.
This convening marked the inception of what promises to be a fruitful relationship between CAU and Bloomberg LP, with discussions centred around possible collaborations and synergies. It showcased the potential and resilience of CAU, represented through its historical participation in the Bloomberg 2023 Global Trading Challenge, becoming the second university from Uzbekistan to compete against 1000+ international teams.
The visit allowed Bloomberg representatives to assess the Bloomberg Lab facilities at CAU. They were particularly impressed, acknowledging it as one of the most advanced labs they have encountered in Central Asia. This acknowledgement reflects CAU's commitment and investment in providing world-class facilities and learning environments to its students and faculty.
In a further development, the Bloomberg team conveyed their intentions to return in October to conduct a master class in Bloomberg for CAU students and professors. This educational initiative is a testament to the emerging partnership's potential to foster learning and development in finance and business analytics.
