Tashkent, September 13, 2025 - Central Asian University and AKFA Medline Held Residency Orientation Day 2025 for the First Cohort of Residents with the Presentation of Uzbekistan’s Unique Robotic Surgery System EDGE MP1000.
In the central hall of AKFA Medline, Residency Orientation Day 2025 took place – an event dedicated to the launch of the residency program for young doctors. The organizers were Central Asian University and the AKFA Medline clinic.
The purpose of the event was to introduce residents to the clinical base, state-of-the-art medical technologies, as well as to the faculty members who would accompany their education and professional growth. The program also included congratulations on the start of training from the leadership and invited guests, as well as a ceremonial part – addresses to the residents and the presentation of residency ID cards.
This event marked the opening of a new chapter in the development of medical education in the region and laid a solid foundation for shaping a generation of leaders in healthcare.

Residency Orientation Day 2025 became the first step for young doctors towards forming their professional identity, getting acquainted with modern medical practices, and participating in the creation of a new culture of medical education in Uzbekistan.
As part of the event, there was also a presentation of the newest robotic surgical system EDGE MP1000 – an advanced technology that opened new horizons in medicine.
EDGE MP1000 was a unique multi-port robotic system for minimally invasive operations. It allowed the surgeon to control special robotic instruments through small incisions, ensuring precision, safety, and minimal intervention in the patient’s body.

This event opened a new stage in the development of medicine in the country, allowing patients to gain access to the most modern methods of treatment and doctors to work with innovative technologies of world class.
