At Central Asian University, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab stands as a key contributor to Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. As a modern diagnostics and pharmaceutical testing center, CAU Diagnostics combines clinical diagnostics, pharmaceutical quality control, and innovative medication management through PillPack services to ensure accessible, accurate, and patient-centered healthcare.
Equipped with leading technologies such as Roche, Sysmex, Shimadzu, and Thermo Fisher, CAU Diagnostics performs a wide range of laboratory tests in hematology, biochemistry, and hormone analysis. These automated systems guarantee precision, safety, and efficiency in every diagnostic process. In addition, the pharmaceutical quality control laboratoryensures the safety and effectiveness of medications through advanced HPLC and UPLC methods.
The PillPack service represents another innovation, offering personalized medication packaging that helps patients follow their treatment plans effectively improving adherence and overall health outcomes.

Currently operating within the Central Asian University campus, CAU Diagnostics plans to expand nationally by establishing 12 laboratories and over 200 blood collection points across Uzbekistan. Central Asian University continues to advance SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure through cutting-edge research and international collaboration. At the prestigious IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), CAU achieved a milestone as an Associate Professor from the Engineering School presented research conducted jointly with the University of Cambridge.
The study introduces a novel framework combining Reservoir Computing with the FORCE learning rule, enabling robots to adapt to changing body configurations. This breakthrough holds great potential for space exploration, industrial automation, and healthcare robotics. Published in the IEEE ICRA Proceedings, this marks CAU’s first participation in the world’s leading robotics conference underscoring the university’s growing influence in AI and robotics innovation and its commitment to building sustainable technological infrastructure in Central Asia.
