The Career Center was officially established in March 2024 with a clear mission: to provide every CAU student with equal access to professional opportunities and to ensure that they graduate as confident, skilled, and employable individuals. Its founding vision focused on bridging the persistent gap between classroom learning and workplace expectations. It was also intended to create a culture in which entrepreneurship, innovation, and lifelong learning would thrive.
From the very beginning, the Career Center was envisioned as more than just a student service office. It became a strategic partner for students, alumni, faculty, and employers. By placing employability at the core of its mission, the Center has begun to transform the way CAU engages with the labor market.
One of the defining features of the Career Center is its commitment to producing and sharing written articles and resources that guide students through the often intimidating process of finding a job. These articles cover a wide variety of themes, from preparing strong CVs and cover letters to mastering the art of job interviews. They also explore broader issues such as the future of work, the impact of digitalization, and the growing importance of networking and professional branding.
By making these resources available to all students, the Career Center ensures that knowledge is not confined to a single workshop or event. Instead, students can revisit these materials whenever they need them, reinforcing their learning at their own pace. The articles also play an important role in raising awareness about labor market realities, helping students to better understand employer expectations and to prepare accordingly.
The Career Center provides individualized support for students as they navigate job applications. Staff members carefully review CVs and resumes, ensuring that they meet professional standards and highlight each student’s unique strengths. They also provide feedback on cover letters, guiding students to articulate their motivation and suitability for roles with clarity and confidence.
In addition, the Center organizes mock interviews and simulation exercises that recreate real-world recruitment scenarios, giving students the opportunity to practice and refine their responses while receiving constructive feedback from career specialists.
This structured approach transforms the application process from a stressful challenge into a guided learning opportunity. Students who regularly engage with the Career Center report improved confidence, sharper communication skills, and stronger performance in competitive recruitment settings.
A major highlight of the Career Center’s recruitment initiatives was the CAU Job Fair 2025, held on May 5. This landmark event became the largest career platform in the university’s history, connecting students directly with more than 90 top employers. Among the participants were leading corporations such as AKFA Group Companies, the Big Four, Hilton Hotels, Uzbekistan Airports, IT-Park, Nestlé, Coca-Cola, 1Fit, and Beeline.
The CAU Career Center, since its inception in March 2024, has played a critical role in shaping graduate outcomes. The university is proud to report that in the past two academic years, 472 students successfully graduated across key faculties, including business, healthcare, education, technology, and design.
What distinguishes CAU’s graduate profile is the remarkably high proportion of students entering green and sustainability-focused jobs. Out of the 472 graduates, 298 are now employed in green jobs, representing more than sixty percent of the graduating cohort.
This outcome reflects both the effectiveness of the Career Center’s employment support services and the university’s broader commitment to preparing professionals who can respond to sustainability challenges.
