About the journal
The CAU Journal of Applied Research is the university journal of Central Asian University. It publishes applied, practice-oriented work, most of it interdisciplinary, on problems that matter to Uzbekistan and the wider Central Asian region.
Its aim is to give graduate students, junior faculty, and early-career researchers a high-quality place to publish, and to connect research with teaching, industry, and public policy. The journal is distributed freely and all accepted articles are published open access.

What we publish
- Original research articles reporting inquiry, modelling, experiments, or new methods.
- Review articles that synthesise existing knowledge and point to gaps for future work.
Publisher
Central Asian University, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Issues appear several times a year; the first issue was published in June 2025.
Author guidelines
We accept submissions from CAU authors and external scholars, including PhD and DSc researchers in medicine, engineering, economics, and philology.
Before you submit
- Your work must be original and not published or under review elsewhere.
- Every manuscript goes through a similarity check. Plagiarism leads to rejection.
- Write in clear academic English; British spelling is preferred.
Preparing your files
- Send one Word file containing all text and tables. Avoid footnotes.
- Send figures as TIF, EPS, or PDF, and photographs as TIFF or JPEG.
- Research articles should use these sections where they fit: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion.
- List references alphabetically by first author, unnumbered, single-spaced. Every in-text citation must appear in the list and the reverse.
- Tables must be editable text. Figures need stand-alone captions.
After you submit
- The Editorial Board may accept or decline a manuscript at any stage, based on scholarly merit, relevance, and ethical standards.
- Accepted authors check proofs against their manuscript and sign a standard publication agreement.
