Central Asian Endourology Congress (CAEC 2025): Central Asia — A New Landmark on the Global Urology Map

Tashkent, June 19–20, 2025 — The capital of Uzbekistan became the center of international medical dialogue as it hosted the Central Asian Endourology Congress (CAEC 2025) at the Hilton Tashkent City. This landmark event brought together leading urologists, surgeons, and medical experts from 14 countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, South Korea, France, India, the Netherlands, Russia, and others.
CAEC 2025 marked a significant milestone in the regional development of urological science and clinical practice, with a clear objective: to strengthen professional exchange, foster collaboration, and introduce cutting-edge surgical techniques in Central Asia.

A Diverse and Practical Program

The congress covered a broad spectrum of topics at the forefront of modern endourology and minimally invasive surgery. Core themes included:

  • Flexible ureteroscopy (FURS) and kidney stone management
  • Upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC)
  • En-bloc resection of bladder tumors
  • Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and ECIRS (Endoscopic Combined Intrarenal Surgery)
  • Reconstructive urologic surgery
  • Minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
  • Technological innovations and emerging concepts in urology
A unique feature of CAEC 2025 was its focus on practical, real-time learning. Live surgeries were broadcast from operating rooms, with performing surgeons providing step-by-step commentary throughout the procedures. These sessions allowed participants — both in-person and online — to witness advanced techniques being applied in real clinical settings, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

Pre-recorded surgical videos, interactive case discussions, and masterclasses further enriched the agenda, giving attendees access to a wide range of expert insights and technical know-how.

International Participation

More than 30 renowned specialists contributed to the event, including speakers from institutions in the UK, Germany, South Korea, France, India, and Saudi Arabia. While some experts joined virtually, the majority traveled to Tashkent to participate in person — a testament to the growing global recognition of Central Asia as a promising hub for scientific exchange.

The congress also served as a platform for young urologists and residents, offering them the opportunity to present research, engage with world-class faculty, and build professional networks across borders.

Strategic Collaboration and Organizational Leadership

CAEC 2025 was made possible through the collaboration of several leading institutions:
  • Central Asian University (CAU) — one of the region’s most forward-looking academic institutions, placing a strong emphasis on medical innovation and internationalization
  • Akfa Medline University Hospital — a cutting-edge university hospital that combines high-level clinical care with academic training
  • The Scientific Society of Urologists of Uzbekistan — the leading professional body in the country representing the urological community
  • The Republican Specialized Center of Urology — Uzbekistan’s primary institution for advanced urological treatment and research
The joint efforts of these organizers reflect a shared vision: to transform Central Asia into a center of excellence in urological science, education, and clinical practice.

A Strategic Step Forward

By hosting CAEC 2025, Uzbekistan has not only positioned itself as a regional leader in medical education and surgery, but also strengthened its global presence in the field of urology. The congress demonstrated the importance of collaboration, knowledge exchange, and hands-on learning in advancing medical standards — and set the stage for future events that will continue to elevate clinical practice across the region.

As one of the largest and most impactful urology congresses ever held in Central Asia, CAEC 2025 served as a bridge — connecting regions, generations, and medical cultures in pursuit of better outcomes for patients worldwide.
