The first issue of the CAU Journal of Applied Research — the new scientific journal of Central Asian University — is out!

We are pleased to announce the release of the inaugural issue of the CAU Journal of Applied Research. This journal marks an important step in fulfilling our university’s mission to connect scientific research with practical solutions for the advancement of society, business, and industry.

The publication is dedicated to interdisciplinary and applied studies at the intersection of medicine, engineering, business, healthcare, economics, and tourism. Its primary goal is to generate research with tangible practical impact, offering innovative approaches and solutions to current challenges. Right from this first issue, the journal actively involves CAU students in research projects, supports their startups and patent initiatives.

The creation of such a journal is particularly significant for Uzbekistan and the entire Central Asian region. This initiative strengthens academic culture, fosters publication and citation activity, enhances the university’s international reputation, and opens opportunities for graduate students, young faculty, and early-career researchers. We aim to make this journal an open, professional platform — avoiding the high fees and lengthy publication times often seen in many international journals.
The first issue features articles on modern approaches to medical imaging at AKFA Medline Hospital, the importance of digital literacy in AI for academic writing and research, applications of AI in risk management across various industries, the prevention of dental diseases from a public health perspective, and women’s empowerment through microfinance using the example of the Ayol by CAU project.

This journal is part of Central Asian University’s mission to stimulate economic growth, advance healthcare, and improve quality of life through applied science — not just for us, but for the entire region.
