Central Asian University Joins THE Impact Rankings 2025 — A Milestone Achievement

Central Asian University (CAU) has officially entered the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025, which evaluates the contribution of universities worldwide to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The results were announced during the Global Sustainable Development Congress 2025, currently being held in Istanbul. This major global forum brings together academic leaders, international organizations, and experts to discuss sustainable solutions in education, science, and governance.
CAU made its debut among 2,500 universities worldwide, securing a position in the 1501+ overall category, and demonstrated solid performance across several SDG indicators:

• SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation: 601+

• SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth: 1001+

• SDG 4 – Quality Education: 1501+

• SDG 7, 10, 11, 12, 16: all placed in the 801+ band
📊 These results highlight CAU’s growing commitment to inclusive, environmentally responsible, and future-focused education. From digital transformation and academic mobility to sustainability and social impact, CAU continues to implement meaningful changes across its operations.
“For us, this ranking is not just a number — it’s a validation of our philosophy: to build a university that makes a real difference,” said Kamran Gulamov, Rector of Central Asian University. “It’s a powerful message to our students, faculty, and partners that we are aligned with global progress.”
CAU’s inclusion in the ranking marks a major step forward for Uzbekistan’s private higher education sector. It reflects the country’s ongoing efforts to modernize the education system and foster internationalization, innovation, and the integration of ESG principles.

THE Impact Rankings is one of the few global university rankings that measures not only academic output but also the social, economic, and environmental impact of higher education institutions. CAU’s debut confirms its rising importance on the global academic map and inspires the university to aim even higher.
