Central Asian University is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Murodbek Akhrorov, MD, MSc, as the new Dean of the Medical School, effective immediately. With over nine years of clinical experience and a distinguished career in both otolaryngology and academic teaching, Dr. Akhrorov is set to bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the position.
Dr. Akhrorov received his medical degree and a Master's in Otorhinolaryngology from the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute between 2008 and 2018. He furthered his education with a Master of Science in Surgery and Surgical Education from the University of Alberta, Canada, from 2018 to 2020. Following his advanced studies, Dr. Akhrorov served as an assistant professor and methodologist at the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute from 2020 to 2022.
Renowned as one of the leading ENT specialists in the country, Dr. Akhrorov also holds the position of Head of the ENT Department at AKFA Medline University Hospital and serves as a professor at Central Asian University. His significant contributions to international medical conferences and his receipt of the prestigious “El-yurt umidi” scholarship in 2018 underscore his commitment to advancing medical education and surgical practices.
Fluent in Uzbek, Russian, and English, Dr. Akhrorov's ability to foster international collaborations and drive innovation is expected to enhance the global perspective and evidence-based practice within the Medical School.
