Construction of a Unique Medical Startup in Uzbekistan — AKFA Medline Social — Officially Launched
Tashkent, June 17, 2025
The official presentation of the AKFA Medline Social project took place in Tashkent — a private medical startup that will offer free primary healthcare services, ranging from doctor consultations to laboratory and radiological diagnostics, without queues and using advanced digital solutions.
We’re excited to share the first photos from the groundbreaking ceremony — and proud to be building the next generation of healthcare together.
The project is being developed by AKFA Group in partnership with Central Asian University and AKFA Medline University Hospital, and will be located within the Alfraganus residential complex. It introduces a new model of diagnostic center: free of charge, queue-free, and fully integrated with online services.
Event guests were introduced to the architectural concept, technical solutions, and had the opportunity to meet the project team. A symbolic groundbreaking ceremony also took place.
“We are building a system based on values: discipline, leadership, respect, and social responsibility. And we are doing it as if we were helping ourselves and our loved ones,” — emphasized Jakhongir Artikkhodjayev, Founder of AKFA Group, during his speech.
This initiative aligns with the national healthcare policy and is set to become an important addition to the country’s existing medical service infrastructure.
The center, with a total area of 35,300 m², will serve up to 3,000 patients per day and 500,000 annually, covering more than 36 medical specialties. The facility will employ over 300 qualified professionals, many of whom have received international training. It will be equipped with cutting-edge medical technology from leading manufacturers, including Siemens and Roche.
The facility is designed to feel more like a hotel lobby than a hospital: clear navigation, digital terminals, a calm atmosphere, and respect for every guest. All processes will be automated, and the experience — seamless and intuitive.
According to Kamran Gulamov, Rector of Central Asian University, AKFA Medline Social represents a modern vision for the future of healthcare:
Azimjon Tursunkulov, Director of AKFA Medline University Hospital, highlighted that quality control will be a top priority:
“All medical services will comply with international standards and the requirements of the Ministry of Health. We are building a system where patients receive timely, safe, and professional care in a user-friendly digital environment.”
The center is expected to be completed by summer 2026, after which AKFA Medline Social will begin accepting patients. The entire project is fully funded by AKFA Group.
