Building the Future of Medicine in Uzbekistan
Dr. Rahman’s visit marked another important step in the implementation of the strategic partnership between Central Asian University and Cleveland Clinic, the key element of which is the under-construction CAU Hospital — the first medical center in Central Asia being developed in partnership with Cleveland Clinic Connected.
The CAU Hospital project will serve as a Center of Excellence for clinical practice, research, and education, integrating global standards of care into Uzbekistan’s growing healthcare system. Designed to combine academic medicine with patient-centered innovation, CAU Hospital will provide advanced medical services while offering students and young professionals immersive clinical training opportunities.
A Step Toward Global Medical Integration
The visit reaffirmed CAU’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships and embedding world-class medical education and research practices within Uzbekistan’s healthcare ecosystem.
Through its cooperation with Cleveland Clinic and other leading global institutions, Central Asian University continues to advance its mission — to shape the future of medicine in Central Asia through education, innovation, and excellence.
