USMLE Step 1 Achievement – Central Asian University Medical School
Central Asian University is pleased to announce that another group of students from the School of Medicine has successfully passed the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1 — one of the most rigorous and internationally recognized medical examinations.
We congratulate:
Tursunov Abdulaziz – USMLE Step 1
Makhmudova Shakhzoda – USMLE Step 1
Ko Jieun – USMLE Step 1
The USMLE is a three-step examination required for medical licensure in the United States. Step 1 assesses a candidate’s understanding and application of foundational medical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, and behavioral sciences. The exam evaluates not only theoretical knowledge, but also the ability to apply scientific principles to clinical problem-solving — a critical component of modern evidence-based medicine.
Successfully passing Step 1 demonstrates a strong command of core medical sciences, analytical thinking skills, and readiness to meet international academic and professional standards. It also represents an important milestone for students who aim to pursue residency training and clinical careers in the United States and other countries that recognize USMLE certification.
At Central Asian University Medical School, preparation for international licensing examinations is integrated into the curriculum through structured academic modules, evidence-based learning approaches, clinical reasoning training, and dedicated academic advising. The achievement of our students reflects both their individual dedication and the strength of the academic framework supporting them.
These results further reinforce CAU’s commitment to delivering medical education aligned with global standards and preparing future physicians capable of practicing in competitive international environments.
Central Asian University will continue to expand academic support systems, strengthen international partnerships, and provide opportunities that enable our students to pursue professional excellence worldwide.
