Research Publication on Sustainable Leadership in Hospitality Education
Central Asian University announces the publication of a research article authored by Ms. Benchaphan Phala, Senior Lecturer at the Hospitality Management and Tourism School.
The article, titled “Mapping the Research Landscape of Sustainable Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour in Hospitality Education: A Systematic Literature Review,” examines the role of sustainable leadership and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in the preparation of future professionals for the tourism and hospitality sector.
Drawing on her professional background, which includes more than 15 years of industry experience, the study explores how the integration of sustainable leadership principles with OCB can support the development of responsible leadership competencies prior to graduates’ entry into the workforce.
The research was conducted as part of Ms. Phala’s doctoral pathway at Guglielmo Marconi University (Unimarconi), Italy, through Eaton Business School. Unimarconi is recognized for its focus on applied research and international innovation projects supported by both European Union and private funding.
The systematic literature review provides a structured overview of existing academic research in this field and identifies directions for future studies aimed at strengthening the connection between academic education and real-world professional practice in hospitality and tourism.
