For some, a career path is clear from the beginning. For others, it forms gradually through experience, practice, and inspiration. For Muhammadali Shodmonov, teaching became more than a profession during his years at Central Asian University — it became a purpose.
Studying English Philology and English Language Teaching at CAU from 2022 to 2025, he started with a simple interest in the English language. Over time, this interest developed into a deeper passion for education and working with students.
“During my studies, I realized that teaching was the right path for me,” he shares.
Throughout his university years, Muhammadali actively sought opportunities to gain practical experience in schools. Step by step, coursework in methodology and classroom practice helped him understand not only how languages are learned, but also how teachers can build confidence, motivation, and progress in students.
Today, he works as an English Teacher at Jahon School, where he teaches students of different levels, prepares lesson plans, designs classroom activities, and supports learners in developing their communication skills.
One of the most rewarding aspects of his work, he says, is seeing students grow in confidence over time.
“When students who were once shy begin speaking English confidently, it motivates me to keep improving as a teacher,” he explains.
Like many young educators, his early career came with challenges. Building confidence in the classroom and managing different learning styles required patience, reflection, and continuous development. He overcame these challenges by observing experienced teachers and consistently improving his own teaching approach.
Muhammadali credits Central Asian University for preparing him for real professional life. The university’s combination of theory and practice helped him develop key skills such as communication, critical thinking, classroom management, and student-centered teaching methods.
“I believe CAU graduates stand out because they are adaptable, motivated, and able to apply their knowledge in real-life situations,” he notes.
Today, he encourages students to stay curious, seek practical experience early, and never stop developing their skills.
His journey reflects how education, consistency, and dedication can turn academic interest into a meaningful career — one that impacts others through teaching.
