CAU Business School Hosts Guest Lecture on ESG and Responsible Management Education
Students of the Business School at Central Asian University (CAU) attended a guest lecture delivered by Ms. Aurora Díaz Soloaga, Senior Lecturer in Leadership, CSR, Sustainability Management and Global Management at Almaty Management University (AlmaU, Kazakhstan). Ms. Díaz Soloaga also serves as Vice Co-Chair for Pedagogy & i5 at PRME Chapter Eurasia (UN PRME / UN Global Compact).
During the session, Ms. Díaz Soloaga led an interactive discussion on the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into the core of business education. The lecture focused on how responsible and sustainability-oriented thinking can inform managerial decision-making and long-term corporate strategy.
Students were introduced to the mission and framework of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (UN PRME), as well as the activities of PRME Chapter Eurasia. The discussion highlighted regional collaboration in advancing responsible management education and explored career pathways grounded in sustainable and intergenerational decision-making.
Ms. Díaz Soloaga’s role within PRME Chapter Eurasia contributes to strengthening academic dialogue across the region on both the content and pedagogy of responsible management education. The lecture forms part of CAU Business School’s ongoing efforts to integrate global standards and sustainability principles into its academic programmes.
