Central Asian University Academics Featured in International CABI Publication on AI in Festival Experiences
Central Asian University academics from the Hospitality Management & Tourism School have contributed to a new international publication released by CABI titled Transforming Festival Experiences with Artificial Intelligence: A Stakeholders’ Perspective.
Chapter 12, “The Emotional Roadmap to AI Adoption in Festival Experiences,” authored by Prof. Dr. Orhan Uludag, Prof. Dr. Erdogan Ekiz, and Z. Saltik, examines how festival audiences perceive and engage with AI-driven services in cultural and entertainment contexts.
The study highlights that, alongside functionality, emotional and experiential factors — including enjoyment, social influence, and the human-like perception of technology — play an important role in shaping acceptance of artificial intelligence.
By approaching the topic from a stakeholder perspective, the authors offer insights into the development of more human-centered and thoughtfully designed technology-driven experiences.
This work reflects Central Asian University’s continued involvement in international research in artificial intelligence, tourism, and experience design.
