CAU Students Represent Uzbekistan at ICHRIE Global Conference 2026 in Las Vegas

Central Asian University is proud to celebrate the outstanding international achievement of Alina Djuraeva and Diyora Sharipova, students of the Hospitality Management and Tourism School, who represented both Central Asian University and Uzbekistan at the ICHRIE Global Conference 2026 in Las Vegas, USA.
The International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (ICHRIE) Global Conference is one of the world's most prestigious academic events in the fields of hospitality, tourism, and service management. Bringing together leading researchers, educators, and industry professionals from across the globe, the conference serves as a platform for presenting innovative research, exchanging ideas, and discussing the future of the hospitality and tourism industry.
As part of the conference program, the CAU students presented original research papers co-authored with Professors Orhan and Erdogan, showcasing their academic work before an international audience of scholars and professionals.
Alina Djuraeva presented the research paper titled "Psychological Ownership and Innovation in Tourism SMEs: The Mediating Role of Entrepreneurial Orientation." The study explores how entrepreneurs' sense of psychological ownership influences innovation within small and medium-sized tourism enterprises and examines the role entrepreneurial orientation plays in strengthening this relationship. The research contributes to a deeper understanding of innovation management in the tourism sector and offers valuable insights for both researchers and industry practitioners.
Diyora Sharipova presented "Engagement with Turkish Television Series and Its Influence on Destination Image, Travel Motivation, and Travel Intention." Her research investigates how popular Turkish television productions shape international audiences' perceptions of destinations, influence travel motivation, and affect tourists' intentions to visit featured locations. The study highlights the growing impact of media and popular culture on destination marketing and tourism development.
