CAU Business School Professor Publishes International Book Chapter on AI-Integrated Language Learning
Central Asian University announces the publication of a new international book chapter authored by Dr. Sedigheh Shakib Kotamjani. The chapter, titled “AI-Integrated Language Learning: Transforming Pedagogical Paradigms in ELT,” appears in the volume The Sociology of English Language Teaching and Learning in the Age of AI, published by IGI Global.
The publication was developed in collaboration with international co-authors and contributes to ongoing global academic dialogue on the role of artificial intelligence in education. The work reflects CAU’s continued engagement in interdisciplinary research and international scholarly cooperation.
The chapter examines the integration of artificial intelligence into English Language Teaching (ELT) and analyzes how AI technologies are reshaping pedagogical models. It introduces the Curated Augmentation Framework, a structured approach to incorporating AI tools into language learning environments while maintaining pedagogical integrity and academic oversight.
In addition to methodological innovation, the study addresses ethical and sociological dimensions of AI-supported ELT, including issues of equity, data use, teacher agency, and the evolving role of educators in digitally mediated learning contexts.
The publication contributes to broader discussions on the transformation of educational systems in the age of AI and provides a conceptual foundation for future research and practice in technology-enhanced language education.
