CAU Dental Research Examines Strength of Contemporary Endodontic File Systems

A research article authored by scholars of Central Asian University has been published in Endodontics Today, a journal indexed in the Scopus database in the field of endodontics.

The publication was prepared by Dr. Niladri Maiti, Dean of the Dental School at Central Asian University, in collaboration with Dr. Vlad Miracea Lup, Doctoral Researcher at the University of Oradea (Romania).

The article, titled “Comparative Evaluation of Fracture Resistance of Hyflex EDM OGSF File System, Protaper Ultimate and RACE EVO File System: An In Vitro Study,” presents a comparative laboratory study of modern nickel-titanium (NiTi) rotary instruments used in root canal treatment.

The research evaluates the fracture resistance of three endodontic file systems — Hyflex EDM OGSF, Protaper Ultimate, and RACE EVO — representing different technological approaches in metallurgy, manufacturing processes, and geometric design aimed at improving the mechanical performance and safety of endodontic instruments.

Part of the research was conducted at the University of Oradea (Romania) by Dr. Vlad Miracea Lup, reflecting international academic collaboration between Central Asian University and European institutions.

The publication contributes to ongoing research in endodontic instrumentation and reflects the participation of Central Asian University researchers in international scientific studies.
