New Scopus-Indexed Publication Examines the Role of CSR in the Hotel Industry
Prof. Dr. Orhan Uludag and Prof. Dr. Erdogan Ekiz have published a new research article titled “CSR as a Selective Buffer: Pandemic Fear, Commitment, and Turnover Intention in the Hotel Sector” in the Interdisciplinary Journal of Management Studies, a journal indexed in the Scopus database.
The study examines the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices on employee attitudes and behavior in the hospitality sector during periods of uncertainty and crisis. Focusing on the hotel industry, the research explores how responsible organizational practices can influence employee commitment and turnover intentions in the context of pandemic-related concerns.
The analysis is based on data collected from employees working in five-star hotels and applies advanced statistical methods to evaluate the relationships between CSR initiatives, employee commitment, and workforce stability.
The findings contribute to ongoing research in hospitality management, tourism, organizational behavior, and corporate social responsibility, while also offering practical insights for industry professionals and decision-makers.
