CAU Business School Becomes Uzbekistan’s First BGA-Validated Business School

The status has been awarded for three years. The decision was endorsed by the International Accreditation Advisory Board of AMBA & BGA.
On September 15, 2026, the Business Graduates Association (BGA) officially confirmed the award of BGA Validation to Central Asian University (CAU) Business School. According to written confirmation from BGA, CAU Business School is the first business school in Uzbekistan to receive this status. The validation has been awarded for three years, with the next full re-validation scheduled for September 2029.

What BGA Validation Means

BGA Validation is an international external quality assessment process for business schools. As part of the process, a school provides documented evidence of its alignment with the principles of the BGA Charter, including integrity, social responsibility, and continuous improvement.
Experts review evidence related to student and graduate development, employability, feedback mechanisms, innovation, equality and diversity, social responsibility, and ethics. Successful completion of the process awards a business school Silver Status within the BGA international network.

An Independent International Assessment

For CAU Business School, the BGA decision represents an independent international quality checkpoint. The School provided evidence demonstrating how it develops its academic programmes, supports students and graduates, uses feedback, and implements principles of social responsibility.
“Receiving BGA Validation is an important milestone for CAU Business School and a recognition of our team’s systematic work on educational quality, practice-oriented learning, and international cooperation. This status also serves as an incentive for the School’s further development and for creating an educational environment focused on real-world business challenges.”
Sherzodbek Safarov, Dean, CAU Business School.

Practice-Oriented Business Education

CAU Business School prepares specialists in international business, marketing, management, accounting and finance, and economics. Academic learning is complemented by practical formats: students work with business cases and simulations, use the Bloomberg Lab to work with financial and market data, and the AI Lab to explore modern artificial intelligence technologies.
The annual CAU Business Case Competition gives student teams the opportunity to analyse real-world business challenges, develop solutions, and present them to an expert jury. The format helps students develop analytical thinking, teamwork, leadership skills, and the ability to present and justify their decisions.
The School’s international offering includes a 3+1 double-degree programme with CBS International Business School in Germany. Students spend their first three years at CAU, complete their fourth year at CBS, and receive two degrees — from CAU and CBS.

The Next Stage

BGA Validation provides a clear benchmark for the School’s next stage of development. CAU Business School will continue to enhance its academic programmes, feedback mechanisms, international cooperation, and systems for measuring and demonstrating educational outcomes.
The next full re-validation is scheduled for September 2029. In parallel, the School will continue preparing for a separate BGA accreditation process.
