Conference Announcement and Call for Papers (Second Announcement)
The 3rd "One Belt • One Road • One Tourism" International Conference is co-organized by School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Hospitality Management and Tourism School, Central Asian University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 24-27 June 2025.
Conference attendees will have the opportunity to explore historical landmarks in Tashkent as well as neighbouring Samarkand.

We welcome academics in hospitality and tourism, industry professionals and government officials to participate in and submit papers to the Conference, which provides an interactive platform for academics and industry professionals in the tourism field to share their latest research.
Theme and Topics
The theme of the Conference is "Development, Marketing, Sustainability". The Conference welcomes submission of papers based on the following topics and others related to the "Belt and Road" Initiative:

Paper Submission
Individuals who would like to submit a paper for presentation at the Conference should provide an abstract of the proposed paper for review. The abstract must be typed in English, using Times New Roman (12-point font), double-spaced on one A4 page. A separate cover page should include the paper’s title, author’s name, affiliation, contact number, and email address. Please send the abstract and cover page as an email attachment to Dr. Tony Tse (tony.tse@polyu.edu.hk), with “Submission of Paper to OBOROT Conference” in the subject line.

The deadline for abstract submission is 20 February 2025. Authors will be informed of the decision (whether the abstract is accepted, rejected, or accepted with revisions) by 31 March 2025. Authors must submit the final abstract or full paper by 30 April 2025 to have it included in the Conference proceedings. Once the submission is accepted, at least one of the authors must register for and present the paper at the Conference.
Publication Venues
Selected papers presented at the OBOROT 2025 International Conference will be considered for high impact journals as special issues, subject to the journals specific requirements. Moreover, a SCOPUS listed edited book will be published from the selected papers.
  • Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research > SCOPUS, SSCI, ESCI
  • Interdisciplinary Journal of Management Studies > SCOPUS, SSCI, ESCI
  • An edited book composed of the selected full papers from the conference will be published in a SCOPUS listed book.
  • A conference proceeding will be published.
